...and the floods came up. Sometimes even building your house on a rock doesn't prevent your house from being washed away. While my dad was in GA and my mom was here with us, both attending new grandkids, they received a surprise phone from my sister that their house was flooded & everything was destroyed. Because of a pipe burst in the upstairs bathroom the whole house has to be gutted and rebuilt. The good: my parents have amazing insurance and everything is being paid for. The bad news: they have to live in a hotel until it's finished (which is also good news b/c meals are provided, you come home to a clean room everyday and they are close to my sisters). We're all keeping our fingers crossed it will be done for our family reunion at Christmas.
