Who doesn't love the frightening at times satanic yet rowdy holiday spooked Halloween? Candy, dress up, pumpkin carving, autumn leaves, sweaters, and, on occasion, preparing for the upcoming election. Dreamy. For Family Home Evening we watched "Corpse's Bride," ate Halloween M&Ms, and carved pumpkins. Brent chose a scary-faced pumpkin, but I think mine turned out even scarier. It's a good thing we live in the middle of the woods, otherwise this pumpkin would have been splattered against our home instantly. We live in MA. Sorry Obama fans. I'm obviously not.
Stew never liked to carve pumpkins. He said it was too messy. I never minded the cleaning part, so I told him, a few years back, that I'd clean it, if he'd carve them with the kids. (I was trying to get him involved in our silly traditions.....easter egg coloring. ha) He had a blast being creative. Now we get about 10 pumpkins to carve. He really gets into it. I told you it was fun!! :)
